Victoria’s Western District

The Western District of Victoria is a region located in the southwestern part of the Australian state of Victoria. Hamilton, Coleraine, and Casterton are three large towns in this district

Hamilton is the largest of the three towns, and is is the commercial hub of the Western District, with a range of shops, cafes, and other amenities. It has a population of around 10,000 people. It is situated on the banks of the Grange Burn and is known for its beautiful parks and gardens, historic buildings and nearby waterfalls.

Coleraine is a small town located approximately 30 kilometers north of Hamilton. It has a population of around 800 people and is known for its Botanic Gardens, historic buildings, and friendly community. It is the home of the longest running cricket club in the world.

Casterton is a small town located approximately 60 kilometers west of Hamilton. It has a population of around 1,400 people and is known for its beautiful natural scenery, historic buildings, and annual Kelpie Muster festival.
